- SAS Platform Administration: Expertise in administering SAS environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- SAS Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in SAS language (BASE, Macros) for troubleshooting and optimizing SAS jobs.
- Server Management: Knowledge of server environments (Windows, Linux/Unix) for managing SAS applications.
- Security and Access Control: Managing user roles, permissions, and authentication methods within the SAS environment.
- SAS Metadata Administration: Managing the SAS Metadata Server and configuring the metadata security framework.
- Backup and Recovery: Expertise in implementing disaster recovery plans and data backup procedures for SAS systems.
- System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Ability to monitor SAS jobs and environment performance, identifying bottlenecks, and tuning for optimal performance.
- Database Management: Understanding relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and how SAS integrates with them.
- Networking Fundamentals: Knowledge of network configurations and protocols used in SAS environments.
- SAS Visual Analytics/Business Intelligence: Experience with SAS Visual Analytics and BI tools.
- Scripting Languages: Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation of administrative tasks.
