Job Summary
5+ years of experience with developing cloud native applications using a microservices architecture and Redhat OpenShift Advanced level of hands on Experience with installing, upgrading and maintaining cloud infrastructure and OpenShift in a multimode cluster environment. Experience with developing applications using containers (Docker), Kubernetes, EKS/AKS/Openshift. Experience on building microservices, APIs, convert workloads into EKS and RedHat OpenShift Container Platform from legacy application code base. Experience on Terraform code infrastructure development and with YAML/JSON deployment templates. Hands on experience in applying DevOps/DevSecOps/Systems Reliability Engineering and hands on python/ansible scripting skills for provisioning and automating dynamic cloud infrastructure. Knowledge on legacy modernization code refactoring and application code conversion (Engineering to Cloud Micro services, API) Key Responsibilities Technical architecture and design discussions on deploying Kubernetes EKS and RedHat OpenShift infrastructure on cloud platform. Managing EKS and OpenShift clusters from the command line interface and from the web console. Deploying applications on OpenShift from container images, templates, and Kubernetes manifests Troubleshooting network connectivity between applications inside and outside an EKS Kubernetes and Openshift cluster infrastructure. Manage and secure Kubernetes workloads to storage for application data, high availability, and reliability. Managing updates to container images, settings, and Kubernetes manifests of an application and maintain healthy environment. Defining best practices for refactoring applications and use of micro services to cloud enable applications. Perform application level discovery, acts as a Trusted advisor for the project and client by listening to the pain points and resolve complex setup problems in EKS and RedHat OpenShift infrastructure on cloud platform. Job Objectives Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS cloud infrastructure within the Cloud Team. Implement Cloud Container Re platform and Refactor Modernization Architecture & Technology Provide technical definition in containerization of applications leveraging Redhat OpenShift. Apply technical, functional knowledge to convert application code into container through modular design. SME on RedHat OpenShift migration and modernization tools including install, configure and optimize as per engagement requirement. Engages the Project team to create the application design, including containerization, API, Microservices creation, or other forms of Modernization. Promotes innovation across the solution and delivery phases by leading the Design thinking workshops leveraging Agile methodologies and DevSecOps, including continuous integration, continuous testing and continuous delivery. You directly help transform business and solve complex problems, develop solutions for modernizing existing architecture (cloud or non cloud) to hybrid cloud architecture leveraging RedHat OpenShift. The successful candidate will join as senior member to the region level SME Group and will be responsible for the deliverable's assigned to the project. This position requires periodic system administration outside normal business hours and willing to work on weekends for maintenance and ad hoc emergency cases.
