Role Description
The role holder will be responsible for providing L2 IBM WAS administration support.
Qualification & Experience
B. Tech / BE
5+ years of relevant experience
Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment.
ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines.
Skills Required
Technical skills
Strong Knowledge in IBM WAS administration processes and concepts.
Deploying applications in IBM WAS ND
Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs
Analytical skills
Good analytical, trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
Process skills
Ability to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.
Other skills
Documentation and reporting skills. Should be a quick learner and have good communication and interpersonal skill. Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment and a good team player.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deploying WAC configuration files and verifies status after deployment.
Co-ordinating with QK regarding escalation of the sites.
Generation of Downtime report, Read time out report, Incident report, Daily Activities report.
Co-ordination with all the merchants, branch and core team.
Preparing reports of health of all the sites, and keeping relevant stakeholders informed.
Escalating issues to higher level till their closure.
Deployment of EAR & WAR files on Web Sphere Application Server and Network Deployment Manger in Production.
Synching of application EAR & WAR files on Web Sphere Application Server and Network Deployment Manger in DR .
Creating Nodes, clusters and cluster members.
Generating and implementing the SSL certificates in Different environments.
Configured WebSphere Application Server with Database.
Configuring of JDBC Providers, Data Source, Virtual Hosting.
Troubleshooting Application issues during peak time.
As per the requirements planning and implementation of Fix packs, refresh packs & Migration of version.
Monitoring the application servers
Monitoring Prod, DR ,Preprod and Dev environments.
Preparation for standalone DR and IBCE DR dril activity
Intimating to all customers about DR activity and Downtime.
Monitoring application logs of all running applications.
Providing out of hours cover as agreed with the Team Leader.
Interface proactively with other Infrastructure support teams such as UNIX, Windows, Network, Storage, Monitoring etc.
Document issues and associated resolutions to problems.
Prepare documentation and presentation of progress reports to customers.
