Job Summary
¿ Work in staff augmentation model with onsite customer support team ¿ Ensure proper handover from project to BAU ¿ Suggests improvements in the design/process to ease workflows ¿ Oversee Day to Day Support of Workplace Virtualization Production and Test Environment ¿ Maintains High availability & Load balancing of all core, leveraged, dependant components ¿ Conducts validation testing in UAT and change management to production ¿ Performs any short term projects that relate to existing system expansion or enhancement ¿ Performance check & tuning the system components for optimized performance ¿ Establishes & documents procedures for environment health check, DR/BCP, session simulation drills ¿ Escalates high severity issues & works along with consultants from service impact to improvement plans ¿ Submits Root cause analysis reports while working with vendor partner for bugfixes ¿ Keeps all confidential system credentials & data intact ¿ Technical Writing troubleshooting guides & documentation on known errors for L2 support groups ¿ Develops automation capabilities wherever possible to reduce issues & complexity ¿ Creates daily/weekly/monthly reports on system statistics, capacity, usage, analytics & other metrics ¿ Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply ¿ Trainings on Workplace support workflows to L2 teams ¿ Domain Expertise Domain Must have Good to have Desktop Virtualization Vmware Horizon and/or Horizon Cloud Azure Virtual Desktop or Citrix Virtual Desktops and Apps Application Virtualization/Layering AppVolumes MS App v, Thinapp Server Virtualization Vmware ESX/I Nutanix AHV, Hyper v Microsoft Domain & Networking Deep understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, RDS, GPO, Networking etc. User Experience measurement Conceptual knowledge of some tool Lakeside Systrack, Nexthink Client lifecycle Mgmt tool SCCM basics, VMware UEM basics Cloud Computing Azure IaaS AWS, GCS etc. User Profile Virtualization VMware DEM, FSLogix Secure Remote Access Vmware Unified Access Gateway Any Gateway Identity Management AD Okta, VMware Workspace One Monitoring & UEX Working knowledge of a VDI specific monitoring tool Nexthink, EG Innovations, Goliath Qualifications ¿ Academic o Bachelors in Technology (Preferable) ¿ Professional o Intermediate level Workplace Virtualization certification (like Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator ¿ Virtual Apps & Desktops, Vmware Certified Professional Desktop & Mobility) o Basic level Server Virtualization certification (Vmware Certified Professional Datacenter) o Basic level Cloud Architecture/Design certification, like Microsoft Certified Professional (preferably on Microsoft Azure Administration) o ITIL v3 Foundation ¿ Experience o 10+ years total experience o 7+ years relevant experience
