Role Overview:
The Senior SDET plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of web services and applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. This role works closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define testing strategies, validate functionality, identify defects, and continuously improve software quality.
Summary
The ideal candidate is a testing expert with strong experience in RESTful API validation, UI testing, and test automation. They bring independence, creativity, and a strong testing mindset, and are comfortable contributing to root cause analysis and design discussions. The role involves working with tools such as Postman, Playwright, and PostgreSQL to help shape robust and reliable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage JIRA stories related to testing activities.
Perform manual testing for RESTful services and standalone UI websites.
Create and maintain automation test scripts using Postman.
Develop and maintain Playwright-based automation scripts using TypeScript.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects and reported issues.
Required Hard Skills (Technical)
Advanced proficiency in Postman for RESTful API testing.
Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Basic to medium experience with the Playwright testing framework.
Proficient in manual testing of RESTful services and UI applications.
Experience creating complex SQL queries for PostgreSQL validation.
Familiarity with Kafka, Spring Boot, and React frameworks.
Experience using tools such as Visual Studio Code, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, Qmetry, Rancher, and Dynatrace.
Strong understanding of RESTful API testing and system integration analysis.

The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
