Key Responsibilities
As an AI Strategist develops and executes the organization’s AI strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. This includes identifying opportunities to leverage AI for competitive advantage, operational efficiency, and improved customer experience. Staying ahead of trends in AI, machine learning, and related technologies is crucial for informed decision-making.
Collaboration with executive leadership is vital for prioritizing AI investments and initiatives. As a liaison between technical teams and business units, the AI Strategist translates AI capabilities into actionable insights and facilitates training and knowledge-sharing sessions on AI applications and trends.
Assesses and selects AI tools, platforms, and vendors, and architects end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines, inference services, embedding pipelines, large language model integrations, and microservices. The design of secure, scalable systems using AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native workflows is a key responsibility. The role also leads trade-off decisions regarding performance, security, latency, throughput, and cost, and creates technical design documents, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and deployment blueprints.
Overseeing the deployment and integration of AI systems into existing workflows, the AI Strategist ensures compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards. Leading the end-to-end AI product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, the role ensures timely delivery and positive ROI. AI models and agents are designed and deployed to improve organizational efficiency and revenue, with a focus on one or two domains, including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, and corporate functions.
Creating a positive digital workforce experience through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and recommendation systems is another key function. The AI Strategist conducts persona research and gathers user feedback to identify unmet needs and areas for product and process enhancements, utilizing AI toolkits. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud, as well as scalable AI platforms, is required.
Analyzes the performance of AI systems and recommends improvements. Reporting on the impact of AI initiatives on business outcomes and identifying risks and mitigation strategies related to AI adoption are essential aspects of this responsibility.
Leads proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilots, and transitions from MVP to production. Conducting demos, training sessions, documentation walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer are part of the delivery process. Coordination with product managers, DevOps, security teams, and client IT departments is essential. Ownership of delivery milestones, timelines, and technical outcomes for deployments falls within this role.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Process Optimization, or a related field.
Certification in AI and machine learning, as well as Azure and Databricks certifications.
Experience
Over 15 years of experience in AI, data science, or related fields within the Strategy Consulting Industry.
Proven track record in developing and implementing AI solutions.
Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
Industry-specific experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG).
Skills
Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with data governance and ethical AI considerations.

The pay range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
