About the Role and Job:
Position: Stress Specialist
Location: Mirabel, QC (Canada) - Day -1 Onsite
Hire Type: Fulltime
Job Description:
In your role, you will:
Perform structural analyses in static, fatigue and damage tolerance with conventional and computer-assisted calculation methods
Support concept reviews and give recommendations to guide the design group
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
Develop test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components to meet requirements
Support internal/external design reviews, preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR / CDR) with Product Development Team’s Customers
Qualifications
You have a University mechanical or aerospace engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
You have an experience in metallic primary and secondary structures and their behavior (Fuselage primary structure is an asset).
Knowledge of CATIA V5, finite element modeling and analysis with NASTRAN/PATRAN.
General computer skills are essential.
You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
You must be able to read and write in English and have good communication skills.
Being completely bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
