Job Summary

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Platform and Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in providing support for IT platforms and production environments, with a focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating with vendors for installations and deployments. This role requires proficiency in a variety of tools and technologies, including Grafana, BMC Control-M, Argo, Kubernetes, and Windows Certificates. Experience in domains such as SWIFT and familiarity with tools like Moogsoft and ServiceNow would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support:

  • Monitor Tier 1 to Tier 4 applications using Grafana, Osmosys, BMC Control-M, and Moogsoft.
  • Provide Level 2 support for all applications, coordinating with Level 3 support and development teams for incident resolution.
  • Respond promptly to incidents reported in ServiceNow (Snow) and ensure timely resolution.

2. Vendor Coordination:

  • Coordinate with vendors for package installations to meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with vendors to resolve application-related issues and assist in deployments as needed.

3. Production Environment Management:

  • Ensure the availability and performance of production systems by monitoring file systems, data, and log segments.
  • Schedule and maintain jobs in the Control-M tool for automated job processing.

4.Technical Expertise:

  • Install and manage Windows certificates for secure communication.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot platforms such as Kubernetes, Argo, and BMC Control-M.

5. Domain Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate understanding of the SWIFT domain and provide support for related issues.

6. Process Improvement:

  • Participate in user recertification activities and ensure compliance with user policies.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

7. Deployment and Maintenance:

  • Participate in UAT and production deployments using DAP tools and Jira.
  • Work with Agile frameworks and use Jira for project management and issue tracking.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Grafana, BMC Control-M, Argo, Kubernetes, and Windows Certificates.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident management and ticket resolution.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Moogsoft and Osmosys.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to coordinate with vendors and development teams.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT domain and related applications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ServiceNow installations and configurations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Jira.
  • Understanding of file system management and user policy administration.
