Acts as the primary point of contact for all Infra issues reported on IT applications. Manage activities related to OS, HW, DB support teams in various capacities i.e. security patching, backup and recovery, while eliminating points of failure to ensure infrastructure stability Assist in reducing data centre footprint by utilizing physical to virtual process as part of virtualization initiative. Work on Rationalisation initiatives to identify areas where server hardware etc can be rationalised for cost efficiencies. Own the NFMI (Non-functional maturity index) initiative for all applications. Oversee the Disaster Recovery setup and periodic testing. Drive major migrations / upgrades deployments to ensure tasks are being carried out as planned, executed within the timelines. Perform Trending of monthly Infra Incidents and identify opportunities to reduce inflow. Review Infra Monitoring capabilities on periodic basis and identify avenues to setup additional monitoring. Lead on overall co-ordination and Technical issue resolution during Infra related P1’s and service affecting P2’s. Provide communication and reporting on major Infra issues to senior managements. Attend/Conduct PIR calls after the Infra incident is restored and ensure post PIR actions are tracked to closure. Manages operational and technical relationships across multiple vendors. Identify Service gaps and formulate/track Service Improvement Plan on regular basis. Providesvarious levels of reporting on accomplishments and in-process activities.
